SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein Accumulation in the Skull-Meninges-Brain Axis: Potential Implications for Long-Term Neurological Complication in post-COVID-19 - BioRxiv - 4th April 2023
Quotes from research paper:
“Our results revealed the accumulation of the spike protein in the skull marrow, brain meninges, and brain parenchyma. The injection of the spike protein alone caused cell death in the brain, highlighting a direct effect on brain tissue. Furthermore, we observed the presence of spike protein in the skull of deceased long after their COVID-19 infection, suggesting that the spike’s persistence may contribute to long-term neurological symptoms.”
“Compared to the saline control, we identified 808 differentially expressed proteins in the skull marrow after spike S1 injection, with 348 upregulated and 460 being downregulated”
“We identified 426 differentially expressed proteins in the meninges
after spike S1 injection, with 241 being upregulated and 185 being downregulated”
“213 proteins were identified to be dysregulated in the brain cortex after spike S1 injection,
with 190 being upregulated and 23 being downregulated”
“We investigated the presence of spike protein in the skulls of 34 patients who died from non-COVID-related causes during the pandemic in 2021 and 2022. We indeed identified the spike protein in 10 of them. This refers to approximately 29% of people who potentially had COVID-19 in the past (without recognizing themselves or with no anamnestic data), and still having spike protein for the rest of their lives. These findings suggest that the spike protein persisted in the human skull beyond the viral detection time and recovery might be involved in long-term COVID-19 symptoms.”
“Proteins related to the neurodegeneration pathway and damage to the blood-brain barrier were the most prominent dysregulated molecules in the brain”
Other Research:
Spike S1 protein was found to persist in some studies for 15 months or more (perhaps permanently) leading to long-term neurological disease and immune dysfunction.

The spike S1 protein alone:
Binds to and accumulates in most organs including the heart, lung, liver, kidney, intestine, thymus, spleen, pancreas, testis, ovaries and bone marrow. It also accumulates in the brain leading to long-term neurological damage, disease and brain tissue loss.

Spike S1 protein accumulation and persistence in the brain leads to:
- Damaged blood vessels and brain neurons - leading to brain, CNS dysfunction and brain tissue destruction.
- Dysregulated neutrophil pathways - degranulation of neutrophils leading to inflammation, immune dysfunction and exhaustion.
- Dysregulated Interferon signalling leading to immune dysfunction and downregulation of interferon production leading to increasing disease and inflammation.
- Dysregulation of the delicate balance of brain proteins involved in proper immune function leading to increased inflammatory processes in the brain and brain cell death.
- Dysregulation of the complement cascade and coagulation pathways leading to inflammation - bleeding and thrombosis (clotting) in the brain.
- Highly Activated and enlarged myeloid cells suggesting a persistent inflammatory state in the brain leading to neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Damage to Mitochondria and mitochondrial function - leading to increasing oxidative stress and chronic fatigue.
- Accumulation of spike in the pre-frontal cortex - affecting cognition - brain fog - personality changes.
- Activation of RHOA (key molecule) triggers the disruption of the blood–brain barrier - leaving the brain more susceptible to disease and damage.
- Damage to Ras-related proteins - Rab-6 and others - are associated with cancer, Parkinson’s disease - Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Study Finds Spike Protein Circulating 180 Days After COVID Vaccination - Rumble - The Vigilant Fox - 2nd October 2023
A recent study by Brogna and colleagues used mass spectrometry to identify a distinct amino acid signature of the vaccine-derived spike protein. Alarmingly, they found it circulating in the body for 180 days in approximately 50% of vaccine recipients.
"That means 50% of people who took the shots walking around out there. Every six months, they take a shot. They'll have continually circulating spike protein," remarked Dr. Peter McCullough.

SARS-CoV-2 Spike amyloid fibrils specifically and selectively accelerates amyloid fibril formation of human prion protein and the amyloid B peptide - BioRxiv - 1st September 2023
"We here provide evidence of significant Spike-amyloid fibril seeded acceleration of amyloid formation of CJD associated human prion protein (HuPrP) using an in vitro conversion assay. By seeding the HuPrP conversion assay with other in vitro generated disease associated amyloid fibrils we demonstrate that this is not a general effect but a specific feature of spike-amyloid fibrils. We also showed that the amyloid fibril formation of AD associated Aβ1-42 was accelerated by Spike-amyloid fibril seeds. Of seven different 20-amino acid long peptides,"

Prion-like Domains in Spike Protein of SARS-CoV-2 Differ accross Its Variants and Enable Changes in Affinity to ACE2 - MDPI - 25th January 2022
"Compared with other viruses, a striking difference was observed in the distribution of prion-like domains in the spike protein since SARS-CoV-2 is the only coronavirus with a prion-like domain found in the receptor-binding domain of the S1 region of the spike protein. The presence and unique distribution of prion-like domains in the SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domains of the spike protein are particularly interesting since although the SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV S proteins share the same host cell receptor, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), SARS-CoV-2 demonstrates a 10- to 20-fold higher affinity for ACE2. We identified prion-like domains in the α1 helix of the ACE2 receptor that interact with the viral receptor-binding domain of SARS-CoV-2. Finally, we found substantial differences in the prion-like domain of the S1 region of the spike protein across emerging variants including Omicron (B.1.1.529)."

Innate Immune Suppression by SARS-CoV-2 mRNA Vaccinations: The role of G-quadruplexes, exosomes and microRNAs - Authorea - 21st January 2022
"In this paper, we present the evidence that vaccination, unlike natural infection, induces a profound impairment in type I interferon signaling, which has diverse adverse consequences to human health. We explain the mechanism by which immune cells release into the circulation large quantities of exosomes containing spike protein along with critical microRNAs that induce a signaling response in recipient cells at distant sites. We also identify potential profound disturbances in regulatory control of protein synthesis and cancer surveillance. These disturbances are shown to have a potentially direct causal link to neurodegenerative disease, myocarditis, immune thrombocytopenia, Bell’s palsy, liver disease, impaired adaptive immunity, increased tumorigenesis, and DNA damage."

Towards the emergence of a new form of the neurodegenerative Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease: Twenty six cases of CJD declared a few days after a COVID-19 "vaccine" Jab - Zenodo - 14th June 2022
"In a few weeks, more 50 cases of almost spontaneous emergence of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease have appeared in France and Europe very soon after the injection of the first or second dose of Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneka vaccines. To summarize, of the 26 cases analyzed, the first symptoms of CJD appeared on average 11.38 days after the injection of the COVID-19 "vaccine". Of these 26 cases, 20 had died at the time of writing this article while 6 were still alive. The 20 deaths occurred only 4.76 months after the injection. Among them, 8 of them lead to a sudden death (2.5 months). All this confirms the radically different nature of this new form of CJD, whereas the classic form requires several decades."

Covid-19 Infection and Parkinsonism: Is There a Link? - PMC - 8th June 2021
"One of the possibilities is that proinflammatory cytokines may stimulate neuronal expression of alpha‐synuclein (α‐Syn), the main protein component of Lewy bodies and Lewy neurites of dopaminergic neurons considered as a marker of PD pathology. The involvement of α‐Syn is supported by evidence in animal models showing that viral infections can trigger α‐synucleinopathies. Indeed, acute West Nile virus infection induced the aggregation of α‐Syn, expressed by increased expression of this protein in primary neurons. In the same way, these authors have also reported a dramatic increase in infectious viral particles of West Nile virus and Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus TC83 in the brains of α‐Syn‐knockout mice when compared to wild‐type and heterozygote littermates."
"Given the extent of the current Covid‐19 pandemic and the high transmissibility of the SARS‐CoV‐2 virus, the association between this pandemic and PD raises concerns about the potential long‐term effects of the virus on the CNS. In our opinion, although it is too early to elucidate the long‐term side effects of SARS‐CoV‐2 infection, the background obtained with other respiratory viruses suggests that SARS‐CoV‐2 might induce permanent sequelae in the CNS by means of different mechanisms."
